We should start with a brief introduction of Kylan Darnell’s career first. Darnell made her name and fame in 2022 through the mysterious power of TikTok. Quite soon, she became famous with the help of Bama Rush, an established sorority recruitment event at the University of Alabama.
Her positive “Get Ready With Me” videos, sunny personality, and quirky phrase – “I hope you’re having a great day, not just a good day” – went viral in no time. She was recognizable on different social platforms and pulled a little more than a million fans in the blink of an eye.

When Did the Drama Begin?
At the beginning of her college time, Jennifer’s life looked perfect. She wasn’t only involved with the sorority but also doing brand deals and simply living the best life that one could probably refer to as a student-influencer.
In August 2025, an unexpected event took place, and Kylan decided to announce that she was not going to be a part of Rush Week in her senior year. The act of Kylan sharing that information suddenly made several people wonder what was going on.

So, What’s the Lawsuit About?
Based on the information that Kylan and her mother have revealed online, the legal case is related to her ex-management team, the people who managed her brand partnerships and influencer activities.
When Kylan was only beginning her influencer career, she didn’t know much about the field. According to her mother, Kylan at that time used to make deals with brands without having a contract whatsoever. It is a dangerous thing just because there is money involved.
After a while, they hired a management company to facilitate operations; however, things were not as they expected. Tonya suggested that the “nearly million-dollar lawsuit” was the aftermath of this conflict.
